Though Qui-KEYS has only been in operation for less than two years, our roots run much, much deeper. Our owner, Daniel Chapanar, has been operating Chapanar's AAA Key & Lock for more than 20 years, and his father, Eugene, a retired Canton, Ohio police officer, ran the company from the time he acquired it in 1976. AAA Key & Lock is a 24 hour locksmith that serves Stark County and the surrounding areas. It is the only local service provider for the American Automobile Association and has affiliations with numerous other roadside assistance companies. AAA Key & Lock has been cutting and programming automotive chip keys for over a decade now!
Seeing the immense need for an affordable solution for consumers that need a spare key for their car, Daniel opened Qui-KEYS in March of 2010. A small building with
drive-up windows proved to be a perfect fit for the company and patrons have been enjoying the convenient service and outstanding prices ever since. At first the business was geared mainly to just chip keys but soon after opening the need to provide customers with replacement and spare remotes developed, and Qui-KEYS met the need.
In the fall of 2010, Daniel, with help from his nephew, Greg Chapanar,launched
Qui-KEYS mobile. This service took the shop to the dealership. Qui-KEYS mobile is now approaching 100 dealerships all over northeast and central Ohio. Some of our more prominent clients are Cain Toyota of North Canton, Sarchione Auto Sales in Alliance, The Fred Martin Superstore in Barberton, Parkway Nissan and Ford/Lincoln of Dover, Enterprise Car Sales of Canton, DeCosky Ford in Coshocton,
and Spurgeon Chevrolet of Wooster. These dealerships and many others
are enjoying Qui-KEYS fantastic prices and service.
Daniel decided to take the successful idea of a mobile key cutting service and provide
that same product to the general public. The idea was simple...good products,
GREAT PRICES, & EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE This means our customers can schedule appointments with Qui-KEYS and never need to leave their home or place of business. For prices better than anywhere else, Qui-KEYS cuts, programs, and delivers keys and remotes right to your door.
But how can Qui-KEYS provide an on-site service for up to half of what others charge, you might ask? First and foremost is the company's business philosophy, modeled after Sam Walton. Give the people great service at a great price. But more than that, it is our
experience. We have over 34 years combined experience in the industry, so we have
learned a thing or two on how to keep costs low. Also, we have developed relationships
with suppliers that others just don't have, which means we can pass the savings they give
to us on to our customers. There is also the vehicles we use. We look for clean, low mileage vehicles about 10 years old. They go from point A to point B just as well as a $20,000.00 brand new van for a fraction of the operating cost. And, of course, there is volume. We cut and program more keys and remotes in a week than most of our
competition in a month or more.
